Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft / 3,780 m | 43 km | ~2 hrs one way) New Baba Mandir (13,100 ft / 3,994 m | 18 km further) After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to the scenic Tsomgo Lake surrounded by alpine mountains. Continue to New Baba Mandir, a revered shrine near the Indo-China border. Return to Gangtok by evening. Overnight stay in Gangtok. Early morning departure (around 4:00 AM) for: Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft / 5,430 m | 68 km | 3–4 hrs one way) One of the highest lakes in the world, located near the Indo-China border. The turquoise waters against snow peaks create an unforgettable landscape. Spend some time at the lake and return to Lachen by afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure (important for altitude acclimatization). Overnight stay in Lachen.
