The tour begins in the misty hill station of Munnar, famous for its rolling tea plantations and cool mountain climate, before continuing to the spice-scented forests of Thekkady. From there, the journey moves towards Kerala’s scenic coastline with stays in Varkala and Kovalam, offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. The itinerary also includes a visit to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India where three seas meet, along with the tranquil backwaters of Alleppey and the historic heritage quarters of Cochin. Blending hill landscapes, wildlife experiences, cultural performances, coastal relaxation, and backwater cruises, this journey offers a complete and relaxing exploration of Kerala and southern Tamil Nadu.

Tour Plan

  • Day 01 – Arrival at Cochin – Drive to Munnar
    On arrival at Cochin International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and driven to Munnar (approx. 135 km / 4.5 hrs). The scenic drive through lush green hills, waterfalls, and tea plantations offers a refreshing introduction to Kerala’s natural beauty. On arrival, check in to your hill resort and relax. The evening is free to enjoy the cool mountain climate or explore the local markets. Overnight stay in Munnar.
  • Day 02 – Munnar Sightseeing
    After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and one of the most scenic high-altitude wildlife reserves in the Western Ghats. Continue to Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point before visiting the Tea Museum, where you can learn about the region’s tea plantation heritage and enjoy the aroma of freshly brewed tea. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Munnar.
  • Day 03 – Munnar to Thekkady
    After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady (approx. 95 km / 3 hrs), the spice capital of Kerala nestled within the Cardamom Hills. On arrival, check in to your resort surrounded by forests and spice plantations. In the evening, witness Kerala’s traditional performing arts at a local cultural centre featuring Kathakali, the classical dance-drama known for its elaborate costumes and expressive storytelling, followed by Kalaripayattu, one of the oldest martial art forms in the world. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
  • Day 04 – Periyar Wildlife Experience
    This morning enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake within the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where you may spot elephants, deer, and a variety of birdlife along the forested banks. Later visit a spice plantation to learn about Kerala’s aromatic spices such as cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon. The afternoon offers optional activities including nature walks, bamboo rafting, or visits to local elephant camps where you can interact with elephants through feeding or short rides. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
  • Day 05 – Thekkady to Varkala
    After breakfast, drive to Varkala (approx. 200 km / 6 hrs), a scenic coastal town famous for its dramatic red cliffs overlooking the Arabian Sea. On arrival check in to your beachside resort. Spend the evening exploring Varkala Cliff Beach, lined with cafés, small shops, and scenic viewpoints. You may also visit the historic Janardhana Swamy Temple before enjoying a beautiful sunset over the sea. Overnight stay in Varkala.
  • Day 06 – Varkala to Kanyakumari
    After breakfast, drive to Kanyakumari (approx. 130 km / 4 hrs), the southernmost tip of mainland India. On arrival check in to your hotel and spend the evening witnessing the spectacular sunset over the meeting point of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean. Overnight stay in Kanyakumari.
  • Day 07 – Kanyakumari Sightseeing – Drive to Kovalam
    After breakfast, explore the key landmarks of Kanyakumari including the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, and Gandhi Memorial. Later drive to Kovalam (approx. 90 km / 3 hrs), Kerala’s famous beach destination. Check in to your beach resort and enjoy the remainder of the day relaxing by the tranquil shoreline. Overnight stay in Kovalam.
  • Day 08 – Trivandrum City Tour
    After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), the capital city of Kerala. Visit the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple, one of the richest and most sacred temples in India. Continue to Kuthiramalika Palace, known for its unique wooden architecture, and the Napier Museum which showcases historical artifacts and regional art collections. Return to Kovalam by evening to enjoy leisure time on the beach. Overnight stay in Kovalam.
  • Day 09 – Kovalam to Alleppey – Backwater Experience
    After breakfast, drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha) (approx. 160 km / 5 hrs), known as the gateway to Kerala’s famous backwaters. Upon arrival, enjoy a motorboat cruise through the serene canals and lagoons of the backwaters, passing lush paddy fields, coconut groves, and traditional villages. The peaceful backwater scenery offers a glimpse into Kerala’s unique rural lifestyle. Overnight stay in Alleppey.
  • Day 10 – Alleppey to Cochin
    After breakfast, drive back to Cochin (approx. 85 km / 2 hrs). On arrival enjoy a sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi including the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, and the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets along the waterfront. The evening is free to explore the charming streets of Fort Kochi with its cafés, art galleries, and boutique shops. Overnight stay in Cochin.
  • Day 11 – Departure from Cochin
    After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Cochin International Airport for your onward journey, carrying wonderful memories of your Kerala and Kanyakumari holiday filled with hills, wildlife, beaches, culture, and backwaters.
