Combining dramatic mountain landscapes, Sherpa culture, ancient monasteries, and high-altitude trekking, the route leads trekkers from Kathmandu to the base of Mount Everest. Carefully paced with acclimatization days, the trek passes through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche before reaching Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar for panoramic sunrise views of Everest and surrounding peaks. Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. The day is reserved for rest after arrival and a detailed trek briefing covering safety, altitude awareness, and equipment preparation. Explore nearby markets or relax while preparing for the upcoming Himalayan adventure. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. The day is reserved for rest after arrival and a detailed trek briefing covering safety, altitude awareness, and equipment preparation. Explore nearby markets or relax while preparing for the upcoming Himalayan adventure. Overnight stay in Kathmandu. -
Day 2 – Drive to Ramechhap – Fly to Lukla – Trek to Phakding
Begin early with a scenic drive to Ramechhap followed by a thrilling mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. After meeting the trekking crew, start a gentle trek through the Dudh Koshi Valley, passing traditional villages, prayer wheels, and suspension bridges before reaching Phakding. Overnight stay in Phakding. -
Day 3 – Trek to Namche Bazaar
Follow the Dudh Koshi River while crossing multiple suspension bridges and entering Sagarmatha National Park. The trail gradually ascends through pine forests before a final climb brings you to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa trading hub surrounded by Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar. -
Day 4 – Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Spend the day acclimatizing to higher altitude with a short hike to Everest View Hotel, offering the first distant views of Mount Everest. Visit Khunde village and local museums to learn about Sherpa culture and mountaineering history. Rest and hydration remain key for proper acclimatization. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar. -
Day 5 – Trek to Tengboche
The trail offers spectacular panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam while traversing ridgelines and forests. Descend to the Dudh Koshi River before climbing to Tengboche, home to the region’s most important monastery. Enjoy peaceful mountain surroundings and monastery views. Overnight stay in Tengboche. -
Day 6 – Trek to Dingboche
Descend through forests and cross the Imja Khola before reaching Pangboche village. The landscape gradually becomes alpine as the trail climbs toward Dingboche, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and open valleys. Overnight stay in Dingboche. -
Day 7 – Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
A second acclimatization day helps prepare for higher elevations. Optional hikes to nearby ridges provide impressive views of Lhotse and the Imja Valley while allowing gradual altitude adaptation. The remainder of the day is spent resting and conserving energy. Overnight stay in Dingboche. -
Day 8 – Trek to Lobuche
Continue along the Khumbu Glacier moraine with views of towering Himalayan peaks including Cholatse and Tawache. Pass memorial sites dedicated to climbers before arriving at Lobuche, a small settlement surrounded by rugged alpine terrain. Overnight stay in Lobuche. -
Day 9 – Everest Base Camp – Gorakshep
Trek to Gorakshep and continue toward Everest Base Camp along rocky glacier paths. Reach the iconic base camp where climbers prepare for Everest expeditions, surrounded by ice formations and Himalayan giants. After exploration, return to Gorakshep for the night. Overnight stay in Gorakshep. -
Day 10 – Kala Patthar Sunrise – Trek to Pheriche
Early morning ascent to Kala Patthar provides the best panoramic sunrise views of Mount Everest along with Lhotse, Nuptse, and surrounding peaks. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, descend gradually to Pheriche through wide alpine valleys. Overnight stay in Pheriche. -
Day 11 – Trek to Namche Bazaar
Retrace the trail through rhododendron forests and mountain villages while descending toward Namche Bazaar. Enjoy warmer air and comfortable altitude after days at higher elevations. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar. -
Day 12 – Trek to Lukla
Follow the Dudh Koshi River back toward Lukla, crossing familiar bridges and villages along the route. Celebrate completion of the trekking journey with the trekking team in the evening. Overnight stay in Lukla. -
Day 13 – Fly to Ramechhap – Drive to Kathmandu
Board an early morning flight from Lukla to Ramechhap followed by a drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening after completing the Everest journey. Overnight stay in Kathmandu. -
Day 14 – Free Day in Kathmandu
A leisure day for relaxation, souvenir shopping, or optional sightseeing to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, or Pashupatinath Temple. Overnight stay in Kathmandu. -
Day 15 – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the international airport for onward flight, concluding an unforgettable Everest Base Camp adventure.
