Day 1 – Arrival at NJP / IXB & Drive to Gangtok | Mountain Gateway
Arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (413 ft / 126 m), where you are met by a local representative. Begin the scenic drive to Gangtok (130 km | ~4–5 hrs), ascending through forested hills and river valleys. On arrival at Gangtok (5,412 ft / 1,650 m), check in to the hotel. Evening at leisure to relax and acclimatise. Overnight stay in Gangtok. -
Day 2 – Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir | High-Altitude Experience
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Tsomgo (Changu) Lake (43 km | ~2 hrs one way), located at 12,400 ft (3,780 m). Surrounded by snow-clad peaks, the lake is revered for its serene beauty. Continue further to New Baba Mandir (18 km | ~1 hr from Tsomgo), situated at 13,100 ft (3,994 m), a sacred shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh. Return to Gangtok by evening. Day 3 – Gangtok Sightseeing & Drive to Pelling | Cultural Transition
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a half-day Gangtok sightseeing tour covering the Flower Exhibition Centre, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Do-Drul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, and the scenic Banjhakri Falls (subject to opening days). Later, drive to Pelling (116 km | ~5–6 hrs). Located at 5,500 ft (1,675 m), Pelling offers tranquil surroundings and Kanchenjunga views. Check in to the hotel on arrival. Overnight stay in Pelling. Day 4 – Pelling Sightseeing | Monasteries, Lakes & Waterfalls
After breakfast, explore Pelling’s highlights including Pemayangtse Monastery, one of Sikkim’s most important monasteries, followed by the Chenrezig Statue and glass Skywalk. Post lunch, visit Rimbi Waterfall, the sacred Khecheopalri Lake—believed to fulfil wishes—and the majestic Kanchenjunga Waterfall. Return to the hotel for a relaxed evening. Day 5 – Pelling to Darjeeling | Tea Hillscapes
After breakfast, check out and drive to Darjeeling (125 km | ~5–6 hrs). Ascend through rolling tea estates and mist-covered hills before arriving at Darjeeling (6,710 ft / 2,046 m). Check in to the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling. Optional detour: Singshore Suspension Bridge (subject to time and cost). -
Day 6 – Darjeeling Sightseeing | Sunrise & Heritage
Early morning departure (around 04:00 hrs, weather permitting) for Tiger Hill (8,482 ft / 2,586 m) to witness sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, enjoy half-day sightseeing covering the Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, and a panoramic drive through Darjeeling’s tea estates. Day 7 – Darjeeling to NJP / IXB | Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (100 km | ~3–4 hrs) for your onward journey, concluding a scenic and culturally rich Eastern Himalayan experience.
