Tour Plan

  • Day 1 – Arrival in Paro & Drive to Haa Valley | Chele La Pass
    Arrive at Paro Airport and complete visa and permit formalities. Meet your Bhutanese representative and drive to Haa Valley (2,960 m), approx. 75 km | 3 hrs. En route, subject to time, enjoy an optional hike to Dzongdrakha Monastery, a sacred site blessed by Guru Rinpoche. Cross the scenic Chele La Pass (3,998 m), one of Bhutan’s highest motorable passes. Settle in at Lechuna Heritage Lodge. Overnight stay in Haa Valley.
  • Day 2 – Panorama Walk in Haa Valley | Rural Bhutan Experience
    Enjoy a guided Panorama Walk through traditional villages, open meadows, and forest trails. Thoughtfully paced and suitable for all fitness levels, the walk offers intimate insight into rural Bhutanese life, farming practices, and spiritual landscapes. The gentle rhythm allows time to absorb the tranquility, crisp mountain air, and timeless surroundings. Return to the lodge for rest and reflection. Overnight stay in Haa Valley
  • Day 3 – Choeduephu Trek via Sagala Pass | Ancient Planters’ Trail
    After early breakfast, drive to Thaklung village and begin the Choeduephu Trek, also known as the historic Planters’ Trail. This route once connected Haa and Paro valleys for rice cultivation exchanges. Trek through yak-grazing meadows and pristine alpine forests, ascending to Sagala Pass (3,720 m). Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Jomolhari (7,315 m) and Jitchu Drake (6,989 m). After lunch, descend for approx. two hours to Choeduephu (2,865 m). Overnight in deluxe tents with proper beds and attached toilets.
  • Day 4 – Yak Herders Camp Excursion | Alpine Wilderness
    Embark on a full-day trek to a Yak Herders Camp (3,560 m). Walk through forests of spruce, fir, hemlock, and rhododendron before emerging into open alpine terrain. Enjoy sweeping Himalayan views and a picnic lunch amidst nature. Return via an alternate trail offering distant views of Tiger’s Nest Monastery and Paro Valley. In the evening, unwind with a traditional Bhutanese stone bath, prepared with mineral-rich mountain water. Overnight at Choeduephu campsite.
  • Day 5 – Choeduephu to Thimphu | Forest Walk & River Confluence
    After breakfast, enjoy a 1.5-hour forest walk through pine trails to the roadhead. Drive approx. 1.5 hrs to Thimphu. En route, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang and enjoy a photo stop at Chuzom, where the Thimphu (Wong Chu) and Paro (Pa Chu) rivers meet. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
  • Day 6 – Thimphu Sightseeing | Culture & Traditions
    Explore Thimphu’s highlights including Sangaygang View Point, Buddha Dordenma, Institute for Zorig Chusum (Arts & Crafts School), Textiles Museum, handicraft shops, Zangthopelri Lhakhang, Simply Bhutan, and the Motithang Takin Preservation Centre. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
  • Day 7 – Thimphu to Punakha | Dochula Pass & Dzongs
    After breakfast, drive to Punakha / Wangdi, approx. 70 km | 3–3.5 hrs. Cross the scenic Dochula Pass (3,080 m). Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, followed by the Suspension Bridge and Chimi Lhakhang (time permitting). Overnight stay in Punakha / Wangdi.
  • Day 8 – Gangtey / Phobjikha Valley Excursion | Glacial Landscapes
    Early start for a full-day excursion to Phobjikha Valley (3,000 m), approx. 85 km | 3–3.5 hrs one way. Visit the Black-Necked Crane Information Centre and Gangtey Monastery. Return to Punakha / Wangdi by evening. Overnight stay.
  • Day 9 – Punakha to Paro | Botanical Trails
    After breakfast, drive to Paro, approx. 148 km | 4–4.5 hrs. En route revisit Dochula Pass and stop at Royal Botanical Garden Lamperi. Check in on arrival. Overnight stay in Paro.
  • Day 10 – Paro Sightseeing | Valley & Monasteries
    Explore Dungtse Lhakhang, the Bird’s-eye View Point overlooking Paro Valley and Paro Airport, Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, and Kyichu Lhakhang. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Paro.
