This tour is designed for those who prefer slow, immersive travel—we stay at a single destination for a longer time to soak in its beauty without rushing. We begin with a night at Sattal, a peaceful lakeside town, followed by a 3-night stay at Binsar, nestled within a forest sanctuary. Expect clear views of the high Himalayas, cozy fireside evenings, and quiet walks through oak, rhododendron, and pine forests.

We stay at a beautiful eco-lodge in Binsar that offers spectacular views, sustainable hospitality, and warm Kumaoni cuisine. Days are spent on easy to moderate hikes, and evenings are for conversations over chai or bonfires (weather permitting).

Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Delhi | Travel to Sattal via Kathgodam

Take an early morning red-eye flight to New Delhi
Board the Shatabdi Express from New Delhi at 06:20 hrs, arriving at Kathgodam by 11:55 hrs
Drive (approx. 1.5 hrs) to Sattal, a peaceful lakeside town in the lower Himalayas
Check-in at a serene resort and relax amidst pine forests
Get to know your co-travelers over a welcome dinner

Day 2: Sattal to Binsar | Welcome to the Himalayas

After breakfast, drive to Binsar (approx. 3.5 hrs) through picturesque Himalayan roads
Check-in at a charming forest retreat inside the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary
Enjoy a wholesome lunch with views of the mountains
Post-lunch, take a short orientation walk in the forest—perfect to stretch your legs and settle in.
Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Day 3: Sunrise at Zero Point | Guided Walk to Ghoralkot

Begin your day with a pre-breakfast hike (30 minutes one way) to Zero Point, the highest vantage point in Binsar.
Experience a magical sunrise as the snow-covered Nanda Devi range unfolds before you, with breathtaking views of the mighty Trisul, the majestic Panchachuli, the towering Nanda Kot, and the stunning Chaukhamba peaks.
Return for breakfast at the retreat.
After a short break, head out for a guided walk to Ghoralkot (3 km one way)—a scenic forest trail with views of the valleys.
Return for lunch; relaxed afternoon with optional short walks or reading.
Dinner and overnight at Binsar.

Day 4: Hike to Mayolikhan (6 or 9 km options)

After breakfast, embark on a longer hike to Mayolikhan, a secluded clearing offering Himalayan views (weather dependent).
Choose between a 6 km or 9 km trail, based on your comfort level.
Return by late afternoon for hot tea and rest.
Dinner and final night at Binsar.

Day 5: Return via Kathgodam | Fly Out from Delhi

After breakfast, depart for Kathgodam railway station.
Board the Shatabdi Express at 13:10 hrs, arriving in Delhi at 20:55 hrs.
Take a post-midnight flight to your city of residence.

Note: You may also choose to stay overnight in Delhi—our team will gladly assist with bookings and transfers.

Inclusions

Accommodation: 1 night at Sattal, 3 nights at Binsar.
All meals from Day 1 Dinner to Day 5 Breakfast / brunch. Note that the Resort at Binsar offers only vegetarian meals (it being located inside a Sanctuary). It serves eggs though.
