This is not your regular touristy trip. We’re heading to places that are still off the popular radar—quiet, scenic, and full of soul. The walks are easy and delightful—think village trails, sunrise strolls, and a short hike to Lamkeshwar that rewards you with sweeping views of the Himalayas. Nothing too strenuous—just pure mountain magic!
Expect chilly evenings made warm with cheerful bonfire chats and steaming cups of chai. Birders, bring your binoculars—this region is full of feathered surprises! And for those who love a touch of legend, the visit to Patal Bhuvaneshwar, the mystical cave temple, will leave you wide-eyed.
This trip is perfect for nature lovers, families, solo explorers, and anyone who wants to slow down, breathe deep, and end the year on a high—literally!

Day 1: Delhi to SattalTake an early morning red-eye flight to New Delhi.
Proceed to Sattal (a drive of 7.5 hours)
Enjoy a peaceful check-in and relax at a beautiful resort surrounded by pine forests
Welcome dinner and overnight stay at Sattal.
Note: Guests who prefer not to take a red-eye flight can arrive in Delhi the previous day. Our team will be happy to assist with stay and transfers.
Day 2: Sattal to Jhaltola (near Chaukori)
Morning: After breakfast, we’ll drive to Jhaltola (approx. 150 km, 6-7 hours), a scenic location near Chaukori, known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Evening: Enjoy a relaxing sunset walk (approx. 1.5 kms one way, 1 hour) to take in the breathtaking views as the sun sets.
Day 3: Village Walk & Chaukori Exploration
Morning: After breakfast, head out for a village walk (approx. 3-4 km, 1-2 hours). This leisurely walk will give you a glimpse of rural Kumaon life, including visits to a small village temple and interactions with local people.
Afternoon: Enjoy a relaxed afternoon at your retreat, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
Evening: Free time to relax or explore Chaukori further on your own. If you’re up for it, take another stroll through the serene landscape or simply enjoy the cool evening air.
Day 4: Lamkeshwar Hike & Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave
Morning: After breakfast, we’ll set off for a short hike to Lamkeshwar (1-1.5 hours one way). The hike offers magnificent views of the Himalayan ranges—perfect for photo ops and peaceful reflection.
Afternoon: Post-lunch, we’ll drive to Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave (approx. 25 km, 1 hour one way) an ancient cave temple enshrining Lord Shiva and 33 crore gods. This sacred and awe-inspiring site features limestone formations and narrow tunnels, making it a unique experience.
Evening: Return to your hotel in Jhaltola for a relaxing evening, perhaps around a cozy bonfire.
Day 5: Jhaltola to Naukuchiatal / Sattal
Morning: After breakfast, we’ll drive to Naukuchiatal (approx. 156 km, 6 hours), a serene lake surrounded by mountains.
Evening: Enjoy the evening at leisure—either soak in the beauty of the place or relax by the fire, as the cool mountain air settles in.
Day 6: Naukuchiatal to New Delhi Airport
After breakfast, drive to New Delhi Airport
Take a late evening / night flight back to your city of residence.
