Day 1 – Arrival in Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj | Tibetan Culture & Cafés
Arrive in Dharamshala (upper McLeod Ganj ~6,830 ft / 2,080 m). After hotel check-in, visit the Dalai Lama Temple Complex and stroll through the Tibetan Market. Enjoy café time and mountain views at an easy pace. Dinner and overnight stay in Dharamshala. -
Day 2 – Dharamshala Region | Monasteries, Tea & Heritage
Explore the wider Dharamshala region today. Visit the Norbulingka Institute (Tibetan arts conservatory) and Losel Doll Museum, then drive toward Palampur for tea estates and a monastery visit. If time permits, stop at Baijnath Temple en route. Return by evening for overnight stay in Dharamshala. -
Day 3 – Dharamshala to Dalhousie | Colonial Calm in the Hills
Drive to Dalhousie (120 km | ~4–5 hrs), set around 6,535 ft (1,992 m). Check in and enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring old churches and quiet promenades. The evening is unhurried—perfect for soaking in Dalhousie’s colonial-era charm. Overnight stay in Dalhousie. -
Day 4 – Dalhousie to Khajjiar | Meadows & Deodar Forests
